Dr. David Drabble
I started as a Research Assistant at TIHR in 2008, later graduating to Senior Researcher with several roles – UK Evaluation Society (UKES) Council Member, leader of the Tavistock Theory of Change group, Union Representative and chief coffee maker. I am keenly interested in the drivers of modernity, particularly the impact of technology on society. I have had key roles on several digitalisation and teleworking projects, and I recently completed my PhD on the impact of hidden discord in global virtual teams.
As a practitioner of theory-based evaluation, I have worked on over 30 Theory of Change evaluations which has resulted in an edited book: Strategic Thinking, Design and the Theory of Change (Edward Elgar, Spring 2023). I believe I excel at applying social science to understanding change interventions and presenting findings simply and with elegance through data visualisation and storytelling.
